Marc is not really a monkey (he just looks like one) but an illustrator and comic book artist. He has worked on comic books for DC/Vertigo and Boom!Studios, television & animation projects and storyboards, visuals for record companies. He wishes there was more time for drawing and sleeping in the day and his cat wishes he paid him more attention.

Favourite style of art: the golden age of American illustration
Operating System: OS X - there can be only one!
Favourite cartoon character: Tintin & Noggin The Nog

love your tarzan drawings!!
Hi Marc! Absolutely in love with your works and was just wondering if there's any chance you'd considered doing commissions at the Thought Bubble festival in Leeds this year?

Hi Marc,

it was great meeting you at Chaos City on Saturday! I really wish I could've stayed longer. We just arrived home in Malaysia a few hours ago and it's pretty much straight back to work! You know how that goes! :P

Hey Marc. I bought a couple of gorgeous Gatchaman drawings from you at Thought Bubble (I've added them to this set - [link] ). Thanks again, and I hope to see you soon to get more drawings/a commission!

Your work is amazing. Any tips you can offer me in improving my work?

You obviously have some chops going on but it will really help your work if you do more observed drawing (from life & photos) rather than working from just your head. This will sharpen up your comic work once you go back to it. Also look at really great inkers like Al Williamson, Chris Samnee, Gabriel Hardman and Frazetta's comic book work.It also helps if you have a healthy disregard of your own work and are able to be self critical - never be satisfied and aspire to be as good if not better than your heroes.
i really like the comic vibe in ur aartwork...hey u want to art trade? would love to do some art with you or any things related.....

Hey, I got a question for you; I started as a first year at ACAD (Alberta College of Art + Design) and I'm hoping to get into their design course (specializing in Character Design and Illustration, but they also do animation as well), the workload leading up to applying to get into it is quite intense so far. I just wanted to ask if you had any tips for good time management and tips for how to approach new assignments in such a way that you could 'do it right' the first time (this is crucial, as applying for design requires a separate portfolio, there isn't a lot of time they leave for you to redo previous work for it).

It's been really good for me so far, because the design drawing and fundamental classes are starting to teach me to just get all my ideas, good or bad, out onto paper. Write drunk, revise sober. I've been getting over my perfectionist hurdles, haha.

Hope I wasn't a bother, thanks for taking the time to read, I really appreciate it. :)
Thank you for the fav!
